Ever wondered how your website stats compare? I have.

My name is Akram Hindi. I live in Australia. G'day!
I started building simple webpages in my spare time and became interested in the little codes everyone places on their websites to track visits. Most websites use these codes - you'll see references to them when your page loads in the bottom left corner of your browser. Sorry if you already know this.
The knowledge I've got from analyzing logs that are built from these codes will apply to any website I ever do and it's a buzz studying where visitors go to, for how long etc...and to investigate why some pages receive more search traffic than others.
Site tracking addicts all probably start off with Google Analytics(FREE with adwords) but at one stage I had 5 separate services tracking what visitors do and don't do on my site. I should now be in rehab. That will be the next project because I reckon I spend more time studying log files than any amount of time a visitor spends on my site!

My aim was to cover as much sitetracking info and stats as possible so thanks for dropping in and scrolling so far...what's that...you're leaving...not reading anymore of this @#!%*?...oh no! Abandoned on the first page again!...but seriously why not...
Compare Your STATS. It's really FUN and you'll get to see the LATEST results!
PREREQUISITES
- You need a website
- You need a Google Analytics account*. No account? It's FREE CLICK HERE to preview/sign up.
- A disposition for honest statistics and transparency! You will be inputting the following into form fields: Average Time Spent on Your Site, Bounce Rate%, Search Engine Traffic%, Referrals%, Pages per Visit and New Visits%. Easy!
- You can choose your level of anonymity - you can put the name of your site in but this is optional
*You can use equivalent tracking services. However, use Google Analytics if you have it as Google do not include Bouncing Visitors in their calculation of Average Time on a website. We believe, this is a more accurate way to measure Average Time on Site. Google is a free service and widely used so all stats are based on the Google Analytics dashboard - SITE USAGE and Traffic OVERVIEW section.
